Mike Steele is a native of Trenton, Tenn. and an honors graduate of Abilene Christian University. After working for an international accounting firm in Dallas, Texas, Mike moved his family to Jackson and joined a local CPA firm. In 1979, he started his own firm, which has grown to today’s Steele Martin Jones. Mike has served in leadership roles in several civic and professional organizations. In 1995, he was appointed by Sen. Fred Thompson to serve as his delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business. Under his leadership, the firm received numerous awards, including the Jackson Chamber’s Small Business of the Year, Cornerstone Business of the Year, and a Pinnacle Award.
With retirement, Mike is able to cut back on his time at Steele Martin Jones and spend more time on his hobbies of traveling and gardening.
