William Welch, CPA, has been named a partner of the Jackson accounting firm Steele Martin Jones, CPAs and Business Advisors. Welch joins partners Tom Carson Jones, CPA, CGMA; Brandon Clenney; and Kevin McKenzie, CPA.
Welch was born in Jackson and raised in Milan. He graduated high school from Jackson Christian School and earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He joined Steele Martin Jones in 2017.
“I enjoy working with small, local businesses and helping them grow,“ Welch said. “I have made several valuable relationships with clients that I wouldn’t have had if it wasn’t for Steele Martin Jones. We like to say ‘we’re the CPA firm that talks to our clients.’”
He also said the firm is small enough to feel like home but large enough to grow professionally. “Steele Martin Jones gives you the opportunity to grow a career by being involved with the small business community here in West Tennessee,” he said.
Welch and his wife, Hallie, have a 4-month-old daughter named Scarlett. They live in Jackson.
“William has been a tremendous asset to our firm,” Jones said. “We’re excited to watch him advance in his career and become a partner. He’s earned it.”
