Tom joined Steele Martin Jones in 1994 with experience in working for a national accounting firm and in owning his own small business. He was named a partner in 1999 and, today, is the lead partner for the firm. A long-time Scoutmaster, Tom has helped 43 Boy Scouts earn Eagle in 14 years. Tom’s friends call him “the most exciting CPA in town” because he is known for thinking outside the box as he helps clients.

Brandon, who was born and raised in Milan, earned both his bachelor’s degree and masters of accounting degree at Freed-Hardeman University. He joined Steele Martin Jones in 2003 and was named a partner in 2018. He is also the minister at Springville Church of Christ, located near Paris, Tenn.

Kevin McKenzie, CPA Partner
Kevin and his family live in Parsons, where he also maintains an office that he works from a couple of days a week. After owning his own business for several years, Kevin joined Steele Martin Jones. Kevin was named a partner in 2013. He enjoys working with small- to medium-sized businesses, particularly in the areas of tax planning and business consulting.

- William, who was born in Jackson and raised in Milan, graduated high school from Jackson Christian School and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He joined Steele Martin Jones in 2017 and was named partner in 2024. He and his wife, Hallie, have a daughter named Scarlett.

Mike Steele, CPA Retired Partner
Mike Steele is a native of Trenton, Tenn., and an honors graduate of Abilene Christian University. After working for an international accounting firm in Dallas, Texas, Mike moved his family to Jackson and joined a local CPA firm. In 1979, he started his own firm, which has grown to today’s Steele Martin Jones. Mike has served in leadership roles in several civic and professional organizations. In 1995, he was appointed by Sen. Fred Thompson to serve as his delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business. Under his leadership, the firm received numerous awards, including the Jackson Chamber’s Small Business of the Year, Cornerstone Business of the Year and a Pinnacle Award.
With retirement, Mike is able to cut back on his time at Steele Martin Jones and spend more time on his hobbies of traveling and gardening.

Gary Martin, CPA (Retired) Retired Partner
Joining the firm as a partner in 1982, Gary Martin built upon his 12 years in the military and banking to help grow a successful CPA firm. He graduated from Harding University in his hometown of Searcy, AR, in 1970. In 2012, Gary received his master’s of ministry from Freed-Hardeman University. Gary serves on the board of directors of a local bank and the board of several local Christian organizations, including Jackson Christian School.
